A powerful partnership to create an unstoppable platform for unity and transformation has been forged, with the intent of building a coalition to accelerate change and unify communities from coast to coast.
A powerful partnership to create an unstoppable platform for unity and transformation has been forged, with the intent of building a coalition to accelerate change and unify communities from coast to coast. Building a movement for change requires extraordinary partnerships, and in this endeavor, we are working with the Drum Major Institute (DMI) to lead the charge.
Teaming up with NGOs across America, they aim to reach Realizing the Dream's ambitious goal of 100 million hours of service by 2029, to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. A key part of this coalition, educators, are supported by the College Board and a network of strategic educational partners, including over 130,000 teachers across all 50 states. Founded in 1961 on Dr. King's vision of a world free from racism, poverty, and violence, DMI carries his legacy into the 21st century, leading through collaboration and inspiring people to embrace their role in promoting peace, justice, and equity.
Under the guidance of Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, and their daughter Yolanda Renee King, DMI focuses on identifying common-sense solutions to pressing societal problems.
Together, we are delivering a unified vision of transformation, striving towards a more equitable and compassionate future.
